Annapolis Subaru Donates $75,000 to the Ulman Foundation in “Share the Love” Campaign

Ulman Foundation is proud to receive a generous donation from Annapolis Subaru of $75,000 from its annual “Share the Love” campaign. This significant contribution will support the Ulman Foundation’s mission to change lives by creating a community of support for young adults and their loved ones impacted by cancer throughout Maryland.

The donation was made possible through the “Share the Love” event, an initiative by Subaru of America, Inc., where Subaru donates $250 for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased at participating Subaru retailers with the customer choosing from a list of charities. Annapolis Subaru selected the Ulman Foundation as its hometown charity, highlighting the company’s commitment to making a positive impact in the local community and this year’s campaign ran from November 16, 2023 – January 24, 2024. On top of the $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc., Annapolis Subaru contributed an additional $150 per vehicle purchased during this time period and $5 of every oil and filter change.

“On behalf of our patients impacted by cancer across the state, we are grateful to Annapolis Subaru for their longtime partnership and generous contribution from the annual “Share the Love” campaign. Cancer changes lives and this donation helps ensure young adults and their loved ones do not face cancer alone. Adolescents and young adults face unique challenges with a cancer diagnosis and these funds can help us continue furthering our mission and providing life-saving resources,” said Brock Yetso, Ulman Foundation President & CEO.

When presenting the donation to Ulman, Billy Sadtler, General Manager of Annapolis Subaru said, “Our associates and customers are captivated by the work of the Ulman Foundation on behalf of adolescents and young adults navigating cancer diagnoses. We committed to making the 2023 event our largest Share The Love hometown charity donation. We are elated that we exceeded that goal by $15,000.”

Since the Hometown Charity component of the Subaru Share The Love program was introduced in 2013, Annapolis Subaru has partnered with 9 different hometown charities. Past partners have worked to protect our environment, provide education, provide foster care for children, support for our returning veterans and their families, fund medical research, navigate breast cancer and provide a soft place to land when facing critical care for pediatric illness or injury. Together with Subaru of America, Annapolis Subaru has provided over $475,000 to hometown charity partners. The impact of these donations to the local community has been phenomenal.

These funds will be used to support the Ulman Foundation psychosocial support services including patient navigation services at University of Maryland Medical Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Walter Reed Medical Center, and throughout the Anne Arundel County community, as well as free housing in East Baltimore for patients impacted by cancer at the nation’s first adolescent and young adult specific hospitality home, Ulman House, and programming and resources for young adults and their loved ones impacted by cancer.
