COMPETE IN ULMAN FOUNDATION’S SO DO WE INITIATIVE

The Maryland Cup

The Maryland Cup is an exciting student-led service-learning, leadership competition in which students from across Maryland compete to support young adults impacted by cancer. This competitive program, part of the Ulman Foundation’s So Do We Initiative, combines education, leadership development, fundraising, and volunteer opportunities. The competition culminates in the presentation of the Maryland Cup Trophy!

What is the competition?

Students can fundraise individually,  in teams, or as a school-wide initiative. This student-driven initiative will challenge participants to raise points through philanthropic activities in support of Ulman Foundation. Points will be awarded based on the following:

1 Point = $100 Raised
1 Point = 1 Hour Volunteered Per Participant

1 Point = 1 Hour of Education & Advocacy Per Participant

Recognition and Impact

The winner of the Maryland Cup will be announced on all Ulman Foundation social media, and celebrated through an in-school presentation or at a personal Ulman House presentation by Ulman Staff. The winning team will earn the right to display the Maryland Cup at their school for a year and receive Ulman branded gear for all participating students.

The winning team will receive the following recognition:

  • A feature on Ulman Foundation’s website, social media channels and email newsletters. 
  • Acknowledgement at Ulman Foundation’s events, including our annual gala. 
  • Media coverage provided by Ulman Foundation’s dedicated media partner, WBAL, subject to availability.

How to Get Started

1.SIGN UP

Register your interest by submitting the FORM HERE.

2. MEET WITH ULMAN STAFF

Meet with Ulman staff to create your program plan. Find the best way for you and your team to be successful.

3. SPREAD THE WORD

Invite Ulman staff to an in-school assembly to spread the word of So Do We – let as many people know as possible!
